When the Academy of Country Music Awards announced this years nominees earlier today, Augustans Dave Haywood and Charles Kelley were thick in the middle of it all as country trio Lady Antebellum (also featuring Hillary Scott) have been nominated for a whopping 7 ACM Awards.  Lady A edges out some lofty competition with Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood getting six nominations, Taylor Swift grabbing five, and Kenny Chesney and Brad Paisley snagging four.

The trio snagged five nominations for hit single “Need You Know” nabbing nominations for single record, song and video of the year.  The group is also up for top vocal group and album of the year for debut, “Lady Antebellum.”
