Press Notice for Haiti Relief Concert

Local Musicians/Businesses Come Together for Haiti

People across the world have come together to help the relief efforts in Haiti and Augusta is no-different. A benefit concert called “Augusta Helps Haiti” is being held on February 6th
at HD Lounge located on the corner of 12th and Ellis Street.

The concert is going to start at noon and music will continue all day. The event has 12 bands scheduled which includes: Twice Removed, Blurring the Line, Vox Inertia, John John’s Heavy Dose, StillView, 48 Volt, The Vellotones, False Flag, Silent Resolution, Elysium, 2 More Miles, and a special acoustic performance by members of Shotgun Opera. The event is being coordinated by Twice Removed member Johnathan “Fugi” Richards, HD Lounge manager Will Haven and is being run by the HD Lounge staff and members of Twice Removed.

Local businesses have also come together to donate their services and merchandise to raffle off during the event. “We currently have $600 worth of tattoo sessions from Ink City Tatooz and Dragon Den Tattoos, photo sessions from Dr. Deb Photography and Fire Houze Photography, virus removal services by Computer one, gift certificates from Rhienhart’s, Sticky Fingers, Dino’s Chicago Express, and other great restaurants, plus T-Shirts and other great gear from The Loft. We also Have River Dogs, Chef Redd’s Cafe, Advanced Disposal, and Royal Toiletries at the event helping out with their respective services. As of press time, we have several other potential sponsors we are talking to.” says Richards.

Cover charge for Augusta Helps Haiti will be $5.00. You also receive one free raffle ticket with your paid admission and additional raffle tickets can be bought throughout the day. This event is a 21+ event. All proceeds of the door and raffle will be given to the Haiti Relief Fund of the Red Cross.
