While 2009 contained a flurry of area releases, 2010 looks to possible be just as hot in the upcoming months as several area bands have been working on recording project which will end up as releases, demos, and online tracks.
Soulful rockers Bleeding Counterfeit entered Sector 7G studios last year and while nothing has been said as of yet, general thinking is that the recordings, if not already finished, should be done in the upcoming months.
Also recording at Sector 7G, Americana rockers 48Volt scrapped an DIY recording project after months of putting together a personal studio. Word is that the tracks are being recorded live in house with minimal, if any, touch-ups. You can hear tracks from their home recording efforts at the link above.
Other bands recording with Nick Laws and Sector 7G recording include The Radar Cinema, who have a new track on their MySpace, and Vagabons Missionaries who are recording a track for the upcoming “A Very Lexie CD!!!!.”
JameSound mastermind Doug James has open another studio under the name “the Batcave.” Recent clients include False Flag who have just finished mastering a 6-song demo. James and Laws remain the two most consistent players recording bands having done so over the past few years…Laws since 2004 and James since 1998.
Other bands reportedly working on new recorded material include Eat Lightning, L.i.E., and Artemia.
