The city of Augusta celebrated the Millennium by presenting Celebrate 2000, a New Years party that would include 3 performance stages covering a total of 6 downtown city blocks.  Performers included local favorites Impulse Ride and People Who Must as well as Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members The Impressions.
