Reunited and It Feels So Good

Ever since hell froze over and The Eagles got back together for the longest reunion tour in the history of rock & roll, reunion fever has been at an all-time high fever pitch.  80′s bands especially have jumped into the mix with everyone from The Cars (sort of) to Gary Numan to Motley Crue digging up the past for one last (in some cases as in the Eagles LONG last) run.  KISS’ reunion is well over a decade long now and even Diamond Dave and Eddie patched things up to hit the road again.  So why should we care?

Well just a few years ago Augusta band Neato Torpedo got back together and tore up Augusta once again for a reunion that lasted a couple of years.  Not long after that 420 Outback reformed as well.  Just a couple of years ago there were rumors that the Riff Raff Kings and Figure Four were gonna recreate their classic New Year’s eve Red Lion show from the 90′s at a downtown venue.  Sadly, that never happened.  Just last year Debt of Nature came out of eeleven years of silence, dusted off the musical coffers, and returned for dates at Sky City and the Imperial Theater.  Matter of fact, the Sky City show also featured yet another reunion ala Shoo Fly Pie.

Well folks, reunion fever is upon us once again!

The past couple of months have seen more reunion rumors including mentions of such bands as late 80′s trio Science Friction, early 90′s rockers Family Jewels, and even once again Neato Torpedo getting back together.  Well a couple of months back the silence was broken when it was announced on the web that popular 90′s Augusta progressive metal band dieAgnostic would be reuniting to play at the return of BloodFest October 24th at Sky City.  All of a sudden Augusta was buzzing with possibilities for other reunions.  Shortly after the dieAgnostic announcement came word that Augusta garage rockers Vagabond Missionaries will reunite on September 11th for a show, also to be held at Sky City. (popular place for reunions!)

Well it looks like Augusta will not have to wait until fall for a reunion show as late 80′s hard rockers Nightwolf will be pulling the hair out of the hat for one more show, the first in around a couple of decades!

That’s right, on July 16th Nightwolf featuring several well known and notable lokal musicians will gather at 1102 for a one-off night of rock & roll that Augusta should not miss.  It’s history in the making people!  A chance to look back for an night at one of the stops on the historical musical ladder that has brought us to right here and right now!

You don’t want to miss this one!  Or any other of Augusta’s great reunion shows!

What lokal bands would you love to see reunite?  Comment and let us know!
