88 MPH Overcome Tragedy to Pay Tribute to Fallen Bandmate

Saturday, June 13th 88 MPH were set to return with a show at Sector 7G with Aralic, Virulence, and a couple of other bands when the unexpected happened.  Bassist Joe Swindell passed away.  With Swindell on their minds the remaining members of 88 MPH, Tony Powledge-vocals, Tony Corujo-guitar, Mike Steffer-guitar, and Justin O’Neil-drums, decided to continue on with the show in Swindell’s honor as well as to help raise funds for funeral expenses.  By showtime eight bands total were down for performing as part of the tribute to Swindell.

As of this posting Lokal Loudness is unaware of what caused Swindell’s unexpected passing.  As soon as we have word as well as info on arrangements we will post them here.
