Augusta Music History 101 - June 19, 1953
The Godfather of Soul James Brown becomes a married man for the first time when he walks down the aisle with Velma Warren at the Trinity CME Church in Toccoa, Georgia. Brown met Warren through a mutual friend at the Mount Zion Baptist Church. In 1969 they divorced.
