Augusta Music History 101 - April 3, 1961
One-time Augusta resident and Country Music Hall of Fame member Brenda Lee hits the top of the pop charts with “You Can Depend on Me” which eventually peaks at #6 on April 3rd, 1961. Lee’s time in Augusta would include singing on a weekly radio show on WRDW called live from “The Brenda Lee Record Shop”, a music store located in Augusta.
