Call for Performers for Arts in the Heart of Augusta
Just received this Press Release from Greater Augusta Arts Council Executive Director Brenda Durant:
The Greater Augusta Arts Council is looking for community singers, dancers, actors, storytellers and musicians to submit applications to perform at Arts in the Heart of Augusta. The Festival dates are September 19-21, 2008 at the Augusta Common and Historic Downtown Augusta.
There are 4 stages: the Global Stage featuring international performances, the Family Stage- performances for children and families, the Community Stage featuring a diverse array of local acts and the Café Stage, perfect for smaller acts; poetry readings, storytellers and student performances.
Performing applications are on-line at WWW.artsintheheart.com.
The Arts in the Heart Festival is coordinated by the Greater Augusta Arts Council. This year the Festival is a featured event during the Westobou Festival; our featured cultural group is the Philippine American Association. The event has won numerous awards including ‘Top 20 Events” from the Southeast Tourism Authority and “Top 100 Events” from the American Bus Association.
