To celebrate sixteen years of turning in up in Augusta, Georgia we are self-proclaiming February as Lokal Loudness Month! To celebrate this years birthday as well as to officially kick-off the brand new Lokal Loudness web site we will be hosting fun events all month long starting with Rock the Clock First Friday at the big clock in the middle of the 900 block of Broad Street on February 1st from 6PM – 9:30PM.

Festivities will include live music, giveaways, games and more! We will also be announcing the winner of our January’s Freebie Jeebie Contest as well as having free drawings for lokal CDs, gift cetificates, show passes and more including a mini-Choice Awards prize package.

Speaking of the Choice Awards-all of February you can stop by www.lokalloudness.com and register for your chance to win a nominees prize package featuring CDs and stuff featuring many of the nominees that are up for awards at this year’s show to be held February 9th at 1102 Cafe’s back bar.

Also look for the first ever REVERBERATIONS feature article and podcast covering a band from the past. The first one? Well it features music and history from the band that graced the cover of the very first Lokal Loudness issue that came out on paper on February 10th, 1992. Any guesses?

One lucky winner on First Friday will also get a chance to win a very special Valentines surprise for their very special Valentine. Still…gotta guess.
