Although fave downtown nightspots The Ren Pub and Room 9 have closed their doors for good those wondering about the Mission’s locked doors can breath a sigh of relief as the bar and live music venue’s closure is only temporary.

The venue’s myspace states:

“The Mission will be closed for the month of January for renovations.  All January shows have been canceled and will be rescheduled for a later date.  We will have our grand re-opening on Friday, February 1st…”
