Augusta singer-songwriter Will McCranie has “guerilla style” recorded a new CD EP entitled “greeneyesspeaktruthinlies” which he is making available at upcoming shows. The new release features five studio tracks recorded at the Jam Room in Columbia, SC and one live track taken from a March 26, 2007 performance at Eddie’s Attic in Atlanta. Area singer-songwriter Jacob Beltz guests on three of the studio tracks and the rhythm section of John Kolbeck and Eric Hargrove perform on the CD’s final track “My Last Stand”.

Being one of the first people to recieve this EP (I actually have copy #2!!), I have gotten the chance to listen to this over the last couple of days. I have to say, this is Will’s best effort to date!! This is a really good EP. It shows his maturity in his writting and playing. And with the edition of Jacob Beltz, the guitar sound is unmistakable! This is a must have for your Lokal CD collection!! GOOD JOB WILL!!
