Soul Generals to be a part of the Godfather’s Birthday Celebration
On Tuesday April 24th representatives of James Brown, the Arts Council and the City of Augusta gathered at the James Brown Memorial Statue to announce the participation of the Soul Generals in the upcoming First Friday celebration dedicated to the Godfather’s birthday. Mr. Brown’s birthday is May 3rd with a movie celebration at 1102 on the 2nd and Funky First Friday festivities to be held on the 4th. The Soul Generals will perform in the Commons with several opening acts.
Also included on First Friday will be a music tribute with screen projection and a birthday cake on 10th street.
